Levi The Poet

Levi The Poet is: Realistic, Repentant, and Redemptive. That’s what I want to do with this project. I want to create art that is relatable, and real, with a rawness – even a crude disposition, if for the sake of a certain connectedness: that people are not alone, that their stories are not unspeakable. I want to be repentant, because some of what I talk about – much of what we live through – was or is born out of sin. I’m a human, like the rest of all of us, and I want to model a repentant sorrow for the things that I have done to hurt others and to mar the name of Christ – not so that I can stand on a box and proclaim that I’m fantastic – but so that I can stand on a box and proclaim that He is! And I want it to be redemptive. I want it to point to hope – a specific hope, our only hope, an infinite hope whose name is Jesus Christ. The reason I’m not dead is because of Jesus Christ, and if I can’t stand confident in Christ, I definitely can’t stand confident in anything else.
