Ben Pierce

Ben Pierce is the Director of Come&Live! and is the younger son of David and Jodi Pierce. Come&Live!’s vision is to create a worldwide mission community that will provoke and inspire Christian artists to use their God-given creativity to revolutionize the world for Jesus.

I am part of a unique band called No Longer Music, and last summer marked my tenth straight year of touring with them. In NLM, we use music and theater to present a clear Gospel message outside the church.

Over the years, I have been in many intense situations, and it hasn’t always been safe. I’ve had rocks thrown at me, fled from a riot in Lebanon, been followed by the secret police, and had our power cut just as we started to play. One time, a guy threw a cell phone at my head while I was preaching!

We're All Hypocrites!

Ask anyone on the street what their biggest problem with Christians is and many will undoubtedly respond, "They're all hypocrites!" This is not a recent phenomenon, as even Mahatma Gandhi is known to have said, “I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians.” I for one don’t need to be told that I’m a hypocrite; I already know that. And to be fair, this label is not unique to followers of Jesus - it’s a human thing.

Stop Being So Judgemental!

In secular culture, open-mindedness and tolerance are two inviolable codes of conduct. These ideas sound noble on the surface, but our world has changed their definitions and weaponized them against Christianity.

Deadlines - What’s the Rush?

There are many critical tools an artists needs to be successful. None more so than a deadline. More than talent, more than resources, or great ideas, a fixed date and waiting audience launches an artist into action and turns dreams into reality.

Why do we all want to be Rockstars?

I have a theory that deep down everyone wants to be a rockstar. How do I know this? Because I do.

3 keys to writing great songs

Writing anything is hard. If you’re like me, you’re never satisfied. Looking back at your old material is like puberty - painfully awkward and, unfortunately, part of growing up.

Pop Culture Jesus

Recently, I came across an interview with Selena Gomez. In the video, she very candidly talked about being a Christian, and I thought “wow, that’s encouraging.” And she’s not alone, haven’t you heard? Justin Bieber is cool with Jesus too.

Breaking free from the Rat Race

They call us starving artists for a reason, and while most of us have plenty of food to eat, everything beyond that tends to be a struggle.

Jesus is not your homeboy

Our culture has cheapened everything. Food is instant, sex is a commodity, relationships are expendable, and art is mass produced and increasingly meaningless.
