With all the regulars finally back together, they tackle the subject of Social Media. It’s clearly a huge part of our culture today, and can have some major benefits in connecting us to people all over the world. However, what kind of negative impacts has it had on society? How is it changing the way our brains work? How is it affecting our families? Most importantly of all, how is it impacting our ability to seek God?

They look at these questions and more in this episode of the P&I podcast!

In this live Q&A Ben and David answered your questions! They continued the discussion on abortion that was started on the previous episode, looking at how we should or should not respond and if we can justify our vote based on one issue. They also talked about whether or not every song you write should be about Jesus and how to respond to people who are indifferent to the Gospel.

With the recent passing of the Reproductive Health Act in New York State, there has been a lot of debates, arguments and just straight up outrage over the issue. The regulars share how this has impacted them personally, look a little deeper into the subject of abortion and how we should respond as Christians.

In this episode of the Provoke & Inspire podcast, Mattie Montgomery (former lead singer and frontman of the band For Today) joins the regulars to talk about what God has been doing in his life in recent years. They discuss what keeps people from sharing the Gospel and what authentic community looks like, and they look at old models of evangelism and how important it is that we adapt them to fit our modern context.

On the other hand, David’s Random Story involves a misadventure with shingles, prescription medication, and speaking at a mega church.

The guys talk about the dominant thought forms of the secular culture: Relativism, Secularism, and Tolerance.

Specifically, they focus on the modern manifestation of tolerance (which is not very tolerant at all).

They ask, "how can a follower of Jesus engage a culture that is hostile to the things of God and often bullies those with perspectives that diverge from the status quo?"

Chad takes over the podcast!! While the regulars had planned out this episode with the typical segments they always have, plans changed when Chad confessed some of his recent difficulties in stepping out and sharing Jesus with others, as well as the recent successes he saw after David challenged him last week.

They then look at the importance of taking Holy Spirit-inspired risks in our everyday life, and how that can not only impact those around us, but bring our relationship with Jesus to another level.

You’ve probably heard many people quote Matthew 9:37, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” And speak on how we need more workers to go into the harvest. But why is that? Why are we not seeing more workers? The regulars try to answer these questions and also discuss why many people start out in ministry or missions but don’t seem to last.

Of course there is a David's Random Story and this time David shares what happened when No Longer Music performed a slightly controversial song at a Christian college in Minneapolis…

The new year has arrived, and with it, people’s new year’s goals and resolutions. Is there any benefit to creating a new years resolution? Or is it just an excuse for self focus? The regulars discuss this topic and share their personal experiences in the matter. They also look at a recent NAS Daily video about morality and the idea that there is no right or wrong. How do we react as christians when people say there are no absolute truths? What kind of conversations should we be having to help expose the lies of moral relativism?

All of that and more in this new episode of the P&I podcast!

Episode 136: We Are Only Visiting This Planet

In this special episode of the P&I podcast, we play a message that David gave at Grace Church in Minneapolis, called “We Are Only Visiting This Planet”. David speaks on the importance of having an eternal perspective and how that should impact the way we live our lives.

Thank you so much for all the support you’ve given us in 2018, we’re excited to be creating new content in 2019 and seeing where God leads us!

No Longer Music just finished their tour in Colombia, where they have seen people experiencing God’s power, being physically healed and receiving Jesus in their lives. Ben and David share some stories of all that God has been doing and look at the importance of healings, signs, wonders and miracles, when preaching the Gospel and leading people to Jesus.

David also shares of the interesting bond between a cat and a monkey in his Random Story.
