“Broaden your social media reach.” (1Tim.2:1-7)
Recently, we released a podcast discussing social media addiction. There are certainly a lot of challenges in navigating the fast-moving waters of our times, but should we, as followers of Jesus, be part of the online conversation or not?
Julia Garschagen, speaker and apologist for Ravi Zacharias International Ministries in Germany, comes on the podcast to discuss the subject of defending the Christian worldview.
They look at why apologetics matter and more importantly, how to do it in a way that leads to the Gospel and real life change.
Julia then spends time answering some of your “I wouldn’t want an atheist to ask me this” questions.
With all the regulars finally back together, they tackle the subject of Social Media. It’s clearly a huge part of our culture today, and can have some major benefits in connecting us to people all over the world. However, what kind of negative impacts has it had on society? How is it changing the way our brains work? How is it affecting our families? Most importantly of all, how is it impacting our ability to seek God?
They look at these questions and more in this episode of the P&I podcast!
Chad takes over the podcast!! While the regulars had planned out this episode with the typical segments they always have, plans changed when Chad confessed some of his recent difficulties in stepping out and sharing Jesus with others, as well as the recent successes he saw after David challenged him last week.
They then look at the importance of taking Holy Spirit-inspired risks in our everyday life, and how that can not only impact those around us, but bring our relationship with Jesus to another level.
You’ve probably heard many people quote Matthew 9:37, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” And speak on how we need more workers to go into the harvest. But why is that? Why are we not seeing more workers? The regulars try to answer these questions and also discuss why many people start out in ministry or missions but don’t seem to last.
Of course there is a David's Random Story and this time David shares what happened when No Longer Music performed a slightly controversial song at a Christian college in Minneapolis…
The new year has arrived, and with it, people’s new year’s goals and resolutions. Is there any benefit to creating a new years resolution? Or is it just an excuse for self focus? The regulars discuss this topic and share their personal experiences in the matter. They also look at a recent NAS Daily video about morality and the idea that there is no right or wrong. How do we react as christians when people say there are no absolute truths? What kind of conversations should we be having to help expose the lies of moral relativism?
All of that and more in this new episode of the P&I podcast!
We had the privilege of speaking to brilliant author and apologist Nancy Pearcey about her book “Love Thy Body.” We discuss gender identity, the sexual brokenness of this generation, and the secular mindset that has led to it.
She also shares her story, why she left Christianity and what led her back to Jesus
On this week’s episode, the guys respond to three compelling community questions. The topics include whether or not we should ditch the label “Christian”, God’s sovereignty and human choices and whether spiritual experiences are enough for sustaining a vibrant faith.
Greg Boyd comes on the podcast again to discuss some controversial topics of our culture today. He shares his views on violence in the Old Testament, homosexuality, whether Christians should be involved in politics or not and more!
If you’re worried that there is no David’s Random Story, however, fear not, for David tells of what happened when he tried to be nice to some kids at a supermarket… let’s just say it didn’t go as expected…
In this episode of the P&I podcast, the regulars look at video games and whether or not followers of Jesus should have any involvement in them. They discuss if there are any major negative or positive sides to gaming and what those might be.
Chad also gets his own segment in the podcast and David shares about the time he hitchhiked from California to Minneapolis in David’s Random Story.
