Artist Interview: Jharmaine Boyd

I recently had the opportunity to speak with Come&Live! artist Jharmaine Boyd, about being a performance artist for Jesus in Chicago. It was so encouraging to hear the many different ways God has moved in her life, and is continuing to develop her art. Both her perspective and her passion for the Cross are so refreshing, and we're excited to have her as part of our artist community!
This year, Steiger band Nuteki was able to play 19 concerts across various parts of Russia, including the Far Eastern region of the country and Siberia. Russia passed a new law in 2016 forbidding the preaching of the Gospel, which has resulted in many churches becoming afraid of doing any kind of evangelism.
During Nuteki’s recent tour of Kazakhstan (09/07 - 09/21), they were able to play five concerts for a total of 4800 people, 180 of which prayed to Jesus for the first time! Kazakhstan is a predominantly Muslim country, and is considered very closed to the Gospel.
Sobre Todo Nombre recently returned from a short tour in Norway, where they played gigs in two different clubs in Kristiansand and Oslo. The last time they played in the country, they were told that unless they refrained from preaching the Gospel, they wouldn't be able to play again in a local venue in Kristiansand - yet somehow they were invited back again.

Artist Interview: Artem "R. Tech" Usov

This month, I connected with one of the most recent additions to the Come&Live! artist family, b-boy Artem “R. Tech” Usov from Ukraine. He filled me in on what he’s been up to recently, and talked about how he uses his platform as a breakdancer to share Jesus in the hip-hop scene, both in his home country and around the world.

On July 27th, Come&Live! bands No Longer Music (NLM - USA) and Nuteki (Belarus) teamed up for the third time to share the Gospel on tour in Ukraine. During the course of their 11 shows in ten cities, the two bands were able to bring the message of Jesus to over 20,000 people.

Come&Live! band No Longer Music (NLM) has been on an intensive European tour since June 10, sharing the Gospel through their bold and creative blend of music and theater. They’ve already performed in such countries as Germany, Poland, and Hungary, and the coming month will see them continuing to do shows in Ukraine, Moldova, Turkey, France, Italy and Switzerland.

The last week of June, Come&Live! band DENS set out on their first of two, short, summer tours in the USA. Starting out in Pennsylvania and finishing in Illinois, they were able to share the Gospel to hundreds at festivals, bars, and venues along the way.

ARTIST INTERVIEW: JOANI GOMEZ OF STN

Colombian-born Joani Gomez, frontman of the metal/hardcore band Sobre Todo Nombre, is a passionate evangelist who takes advantage of every opportunity to share the Gospel. It was so good to spend some time with him and hear more about the band’s history and vision, and the impact they’ve been having everywhere they go.
