Nine years ago, I had what you might call an epiphany, and what I would consider a spiritual awakening. Back then, I was positioned in a thriving music career, where I was responsible for finding, signing, and developing bands, in what is known in the industry as A&R (Artists & Repertoire) work.
Craig Gross is our guest on the podcast, discussing how XXX Church had its start and what God has been doing through his ministry. The conversation heats up, however, when the regulars bring up one of Craig’s recent Facebook posts, and raise the question of how deeply we can immerse ourselves in a scene without being corrupted by it.
Join the Provoke & Inspire regulars for a weird, wild, fantastic interview with Christian activist & best-selling author, Shane Claiborne. We cover topics as broad as melting guns into tools, mewithoutYou, living to serve others, and representing Jesus to the poor and marginalized. This is an episode you don’t want to miss!
Sometimes my heart wavers more than I want it to, or think it should. A few days ago, I had a still small conversation with Jesus about how much I struggle to surrender. I wondered how it was possible to be a growing Christian of 25 years and yet sometimes simultaneously feel like a wavering skeptic of 25 years.
The guys sat down with Greg Boyd and discussed, speed metal drumming, the growing irrelevance of the church, and how not to burn out.
This time on the P&I podcast, the regulars discuss Trump's recent "twitter wars" with professional athletes, the Nashville Statement, how Rob Bell has influenced Aaron Rogers' beliefs and more!
In this “Instant Reaction Podcast,” our regulars, minus Luke who is traveling, discuss some current events, including Hillsong’s growing list of celebrity attendees, the recent hurricanes, and the tragic death of author and apologist Nabeel Qureshi.

Condemnation is an Accuser

The day before I left to embark on my 1,500-mile, intensive, nine-day fundraising trip to the New England area––a trip that would end up being about the same distance as driving one way from Los Angeles to Mexico City––I felt hugely defeated. Deflated even. Everything in me was thinking about how I could back out. I wondered what excuse I could come up with that would warrant canceling on countless meetings, without harming a bunch of great friendships. Thankfully nothing sufficient came to mind, and I was forced to press through.
In this final episode of the road rules series, the regulars answer your questions and as usual David brings you a random story.
Everyone in a band hates each other… at least, that’s the stereotype we often hear. How can we deal with conflict in a band or even just in a group setting? How important is unity? The regulars will answer all your questions!! Well... maybe not, but they will talk about this issue and what they’ve learned through many years of experience in ministry. And this time on David’s Random Story, you’ll get to hear about the time that a punk put a rat on the shoulder of a pastor who was trying to impress the founder of YWAM.
